While 'true' isometric projection might be more suitable for technical drawing, '2:1' isometric projection has become a staple in design. In the past, pixel art was heavily reliant on '2:1' isometric projection, and today it remains popular due to the way it handles steep angles. When a 30-degree angle looks too sharp or overwhelming, '2:1' isometric projection provides a more balanced look.
